Anyone able to give me some feedback or opinions to the following unis (i have been accpetable to them all and visited Derby)...
Derby - University seems far from the actual town and accomadation. Uni seems good overall but very much a college 'feel' to it. Town seems ok, maybe a bit quiet. Good train connections to london.
Bolton - Not been here but read endless internet literature but sadly no one seems to want to write an actual review. Very far away from where i am and seems to achieve very poorly in all the league tables both for teaching and for quality. Social life seems very good and cheap living.
Huddersfield - this is the one thats really playing on my mind. Looks lovely place, quite small, lots of countryside but the biggest downside is accomadation is 5 - yes FIVE miles from the town and the uni. That is a bloody long way in my eyes. In all reviews i've read ppl seem satisfied and teaching is meant to be very good.
Wolverhampton - one of the worst performing unis in the league (not as bad as bolton). Looks a bit 'ghetto' and quite a grubby town. Accomodation doesn't look any better altho it is close to Birmingham.
Please give me any feedback if you have visited or heard anything of the above. I'd be very greatful.
p.s i'm going to study counselling and psychology @ one of these!
