Job Interview Tips for Nursing
#1
To ensure you are ready for the big day, do your homework, memorize your lines and pack all the essentials. This includes:

Two copies of your resume. Ensure you have proofread them.

Two copies of your nursing license or of your passing board scores.

Two copies of your references; they should include previous managers' names, titles, addresses and phone numbers.

In case the company asks to do a background check on you, bring a list of your addresses from the last five to seven years.

Also don’t forget interviewing fundamentals, like a firm handshake, a pleasant smile, direct eye contact, uncrossed arms, and an energetic tone of voice. Aside from displaying enthusiasm and sharpness, these gestures also reveal how you will interact with future customers (patients). And your poise points to how you will handle the countless unfamiliar and frightening scenarios a nurse faces during his/her career. In short, interviewers appraise your non-verbal communication as much as your verbal communication.
