Marketing Personal Statement - Alexm17 - 07/08/2006
Hi
I have been searching the internet and https://www.studential.com/university/applying/UCAS-application-guide/personal-statements for ages just for a hint to how to create a personal statement for a marketing course. I was wandering if anyone could point me in the right direction or give me some advice towards creating a personal statement for marketing, as i cant find any help any where.

All of the advice for business degrees should be reasonably relevant for marketing. Some points that you might add as specific to marketing are maybe evidence of creativity (in a marketing degree you'll likely have to deal with advertising, copywriting and designing marketing campaigns, and unlikely to end up in a solo job) and an ability to put yourself in the shoes of your target group, as you have to do a lot of that in marketing jobs.
If you want to put a "humanistic" spin on it, you could talk about the psychology of marketing. For a businessy viewpoint, you can talk about the importance of marketing for an organisation. Or both.
The most important thing is - why do YOU want to study marketing?
