Thinking Of Posting Your Personal Statement? Be Careful! - ijakings - 19/10/2006
Hi All,
I've noticed a few people are posting their personal statement here on studentdiscussion for people to review it.
I don't have a problem with that, though remember if you post your statement on the net anyone can view it and potentially copy it!
This could mean someone else gets the credit for your hard work, or at worst you'll be accused of plagiarism and could potentially loose your university place.
You should only really show your personal statement to people you trust, though this isn't usually possible on the net. The next best thing is to only show a few people either by private messages or email. I am working on a solution though it probably won't be ready for this year's applicants.
In the meantime be careful and take care of your statement.
