Hi Ele,
Sounds really obvious but now look at it from an objective perspective
~ Imagine your the admissions officer what would you think of the statement,
You don't have to suck up with the thank yous. It uses to many words any way, what you need to do is read it through and remove anything that is too chatty stick to the facts because all they need to know and by doing this they know you are capable of writing knowledgable report/essays later on in your studies.
Don't worry you doing great - I edited my statement about 10 times before I sent it away.
