Even as a child visiting musems and historical sites I stared in amazement at the structures before me. My imagination took me back to worlds very different from my own. However it was not until I vistied the Ancient City of Ephusus that the real inspiration set in. I began questioning the impact of the past on the world today. Sitting on the Grand Thetere steps, listing to the tour guide I came to relaise the unmissibal relevamce between history and politics; in that it is almost impossible to understand the contemporary political world without some sense of what went before. Thus my interest in politics became equally absorbing.
